The City of Saskatoon’s compost depots are now open for the 2014 season. Residents of Saskatoon are encouraged to reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill by bringing their leaves and grass to one of the depots:
· McOrmond Drive Depot, located just north of 8th Street East on McOrmond Drive, which is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily

The City of Saskatoon has recently added three new Service Alerts. Saskatoon residents can now find out about interruptions to City services for the landfill, garbage collection and Saskatoon Transit. These Services Alerts, along with Traffic Detours, Power Outages & Updates and Saskatoon Leisure Facilities, help keep residents informed about cancellations or service disruptions so that everyone can appropriately plan their daily activities.

The City of Saskatoon’s (City) Recreation & Sport Division is conducting a research study to gather the public’s opinions, perceptions, and expectations of the City’s seven indoor Leisure Centres (Cosmo Civic Centre, Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre, Fitness Circuit & Terry Fox Track, Lakewood Civic Centre, Lawson Civic Centre, Saskatoon Field House, and Shaw Centre). Fast Consulting has been hired to administer the research on behalf of the City, and over the next few weeks, they will be gathering public feedback via telephone, online, and site intercept surveys. As an incentive to answer the 12 to 18 minute questionnaire, participants will be entered into a draw for $2,500 worth of prizes, such as iPadminis and cash cards.
